My first computer way back in 1987
was basically a games machine. I was 8 years old and didn't have much appreciation
for spreadsheets and word processing.
The games in those days were very primitive but still fun. You don't need

Don't take a review as gospel as preference for games is a very personal
thing. If a game interests you, download the demo. You can usually get a
feel for the game from the demo and determine if your computer is fast enough
to run it.
